Camille - Beige

The Camille in beige is a modest evening dress in champagne beige velvet, cut floor length with wide bell sleeves and a high neck. The velvet is viscose with a very short, flat pressed pile, polished smooth with a gentle sheen, and fully lined, so the dress is opaque and light through a full evening without anything layered underneath. Two ties at the back fasten in a bow to define the waist, keeping the front clean.

As a velvet evening dress with sleeves, the Camille comes into its own from autumn onwards, though the fabric is genuinely all season: lightweight, airy and flowy rather than heavy. The short pile catches candlelight with a soft glow that flat fabrics cannot match, which makes this a natural choice for an autumn wedding guest dress or a winter nikkah.
